About Me

My bodywork career started in 1997 when I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Oregon, with modality interests being in deep tissue, sports massage, zen shiatsu and reflexology. Following working in an established day spa, I opened my private practice studio shortly after specializing in relaxation, subacute and chronic injuries, and pre and post sport event bodywork.

As my passion grew for bodywork I returned back to school and became a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2004 and began work at a large outpatient clinic until 2015. It is here where I got to work with a great team of therapists and further develop my understanding of mechanical dysfunction, injury rehabilitation and more importantly, prevention. This environment exposed me to a wide variety of diagnosis, ages, and physical abilities ranging from orthopedic (spine, joint, and musculoskeletal dysfunctions), neurological (balance and gait abnormalities, concussion, and persistent pain), amputee.  In 2015, I switched my focus to soley treat injured workers (co-managing a specialized program to get workers back to job at injury).

I most recently acquired credentialing as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, which is allowing me to further expand my holistic/whole body approach to massage and bodywork. This approach allows me to assess functional movement dysfunctions and treat through a variety of traditional and myofascial release techniques, along with training my clients in appropriate stretching and isolated and dynamic strengthening targeting subsystem imbalances to improve whole body movement patterns.
